A visit headed by Ms. Li Jing, Economic Advisor from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Choueifat Industrialist Association and its suburbs

 

Choueifat, Khaldeh, and the neighboring areas hosted a large Chinese economic delegation at the invitation of Kamal Al-Rifai, President of the Association of Industrialists of Choueifat and Its Surroundings, and in coordination with Ali Mahmoud El Abdallah, President of the Lebanese Chinese Business Association (LCBA).
The delegation included Li Jing, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon, and a team from the embassy.
The visit included stops at the headquarters of the Industrialists Association of Choueifat and Its Surroundings and several local companies.

A reception ceremony was held in the presence of the association members  Mr. Mazen Zeiny, Mr. Tarek Abou Chacra (General Manager of Frinx S.A.L.), Mr. Abdulrahman Abbas, Mr. Abbas Flayfel, Mr. Walid Hilal, Mr. Hikmat Mourad, and several other members.

Mr. Kamal Al-Rifai praised the strong cooperation with China, describing it as Lebanon’s primary trade partner, and stressed the importance of removing all obstacles that hinder the export of Lebanese products to the Chinese market, which he described as a promising and hopeful market for the future.
He also emphasized the need to facilitate the entry of Lebanese industrial products into Chinese markets.

During the visit, Ms. Li Jing thanked Mr. Ali Mahmoud El Abdallah, President of LCBA, for coordinating this exceptional industrial day, and she focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
She emphasized the embassy’s commitment to helping remove barriers facing Lebanese industries and praised the high competitiveness of Lebanese industrial products in terms of both quality and technology.


 


 

In conclusion, discussions between attendees covered several topics, most notably facilitating travel for Lebanese businessmen to China, as many of them import machinery and materials from China. They requested support to ease travel burdens and streamline their missions there.


Company Visits

The delegation also visited Lifco Technical and Trading Company, specialized in the manufacture, supply, and distribution of shelving systems and refrigerators for traders, supermarkets, restaurants, hotel kitchens, and retail stores.
The Chinese guests toured the company’s departments, inspected imported and locally manufactured products, and expressed their appreciation for the company’s development.

The next stop was Adida Spices Factory, specialized in selling all kinds of spices and seasonings.
They were received by General Manager Mr. Omar Mahyou and Executive Director Mrs. Mahyou, who gave a detailed presentation about the company’s history and its rapid growth over a short period.

 

 

 

The delegation then visited Frinx S.A.L., a company specialized in the manufacture of all types of tissue paper products, including facial tissues, napkins, table towels, and toilet paper.
They were welcomed by General Manager Mr. Tarek Abou Chacra and factory administrators.
Ms. Sawsan Al-Banna, Head of Sales and Marketing, gave a detailed explanation about the company’s operations, strategies, and objectives, as well as its expansion inside and outside Lebanon.
The delegation expressed great admiration for Frinx’s rapid progress, noting that in a short period, the company has secured a significant market share in Lebanon thanks to its wise management and persistent effort amid the country’s difficult economic conditions.

 

The next visit was to Glass Line Company, specialized in the manufacture and installation of modern architectural façades made of high-quality glass and aluminum.
Factory Director Mr. Michel Barakat presented the company’s history and development, noting that most of its products are exported to global markets and meet strict international standards.
He explained that Glass Line’s services cover design, engineering, manufacturing, and implementation, meeting high thermal, environmental, acoustic, safety, and seismic performance requirements for architectural façades.

 

The delegation also visited B Plus Company (Ahmad Imad Bakery Equipment Factory), a pioneer in the manufacturing of fully automated bakery equipment designed to produce traditional Lebanese pita bread.
Executive Director Mr. Makram Ghanem spoke about the company’s long-standing history and expertise, noting that B Plus has installed Lebanese bread factories in China.
The Chinese delegation and attendees watched a recorded video showing the operation of these Lebanese bakeries in China, and they expressed great admiration and appreciation for the achievements of Lebanese industry.

 

 

 

Finally, the delegation visited Bassem Al Ghraoui Factory for Chocolate, Confectionery, Dates, Turkish Delight, and Candies, where they were warmly received in the main hall by Mr. Bassem Al Ghraoui and factory officials.
They then toured the factory as Mr. Al Ghraoui presented its rich history and global reach — the company produces and distributes premium sweets to over 30 countries worldwide.
The factory manager guided the delegation through all sections, highlighting the precision and quality of production.
Guests tasted some new products soon to be launched in the market and expressed their admiration for their exceptional flavor.

The visit concluded with a lunch hosted by Mr. Al Ghraoui in honor of the delegation and attendees.
